This week was back to school for Wriggler. For Bruiser, well he had a very unsettled week. I think he’s still getting accustomed to the new routine which is very different to that of late and he struggles so much with change. He’s also been learning new skills and his behaviour always takes a nose dive when new skills emerge. We’ve had meltdowns a plenty.
This week, Bruiser learnt how to ride the scooter. In fact its been the week of the scooter! He’s quite a pro now, for his age 🙂 I even let him scooter to school to get his big brother and back home again. Bearing in mind its a one & half mile round trip, up hill for half of it. That’s pretty good going for little legs. It also reinforced for me what I have been long suspecting, that Bruiser is in fact left-handed. He rides his scooter with the opposite leg to his brother and most other right-handed children that I see out and about.
The ‘unwelcome guests‘ made a brief return thanks to a playground hat swapping game. Grrrr. Dont even get me started on the other parents’ neglectful maintenance of their children’s hair!
We spent some quality time with my family on Sunday, the boys loved playing on the drive with their scooters and chasing Zeus, my dads golden retriever. The boys love visiting their Grandad and he in turn loves them coming round but his ears aren’t half glad when they leave 🙂
It would appear that Wriggler’s obsession with Gangnam Style is catching. Bruiser now has the ‘moves’ and can even sing along to his favorite bit…. ‘hey day day day day bop bop bop bop bop’ (hey sexy lady, whoop whoop whoop whoop). Check them both out in a video here.
Wriggler proved he can still fit inside the play cupboard and he finally built a sweet dispensing gadget with his lego. He was trying for a money activated one but the lack of moving lego parts but a dampner on his efforts. Hes not given up yet though!
Oh and we had more snow! 🙂
